It includes an adjustable plaited waxed braid cord, a traditional style woven presentation pouch and a description of the meaning of the carving.   

This piece is one of a series, which comes in a range of highly polished greenstone - each piece is unique due to variations in the stone.

The spiral form is a Koru, which is the fern frond as it opens bringing new life and purity to the world.  It also represents peace, tranquility, spirituality, family as well as regrowth or new beginnings/journeys. The addition of multiple korus can represent members of the family - therefore is the "whanau" form.
